Successful applicants will receive funding from $500 to $5000 to use on a range of Smart Stack archiving systems and services.

Smart Records Group General Manager, Toby Ovadia, said that the initiative will provide small schools across Victoria with high quality archiving excellence which they previously may have foregone due to budget restrictions.

“Every school deserves quality archiving services regardless of their budget. Archives aren’t just an administrative chore, they’re a record of the whole community over time. It is something which deserves to be preserved for future generations.”

Round 1 of the School Archiving Assistant Fund saw over $42,000 in funding granted to schools across Victoria. This resulted in installing a range of archiving systems and utilising archiving services to ensue their archives were compliant with Education Department requirements.

“We were astounded at the response to the funding program. This has really shown us that smaller schools across Victoria are crying out for extra funding. Archiving always seems to be last on the priority list due to a lack of funding.” Toby said.

Applicants to Receive 12 Months Free Software Subscription

As an added bonus, all schools who apply for round 2 funding will automatically receive a 12 month subscription to Smart Stack’s online archive management software system, SmartSoft.
