Retention schedules for School archiving

It seems like only yesterday that we were advising of changes to the retention period for schools records in Victoria. Here we are in Term 2 with a whole raft of new changes effective immediately!

A newly update scheduled has been released – the 24/03 Retention and Disposal Authority for Human Resources Management Functions, as well new Variations to the 22/06 and 07/01 (Although these are minor by comparison). DET has also advise of some upgrades to several student related categories.  There has been 3-4 changes that all public schools in Victoria need to be aware of. What you need to do

Please be aware of the above changes. We are working hard to implement these for you in the backend, but in the meantime if you need to run destruction you can self-update using the instructions below:

Step 1: Login to your system

Step 2: Head to the settings area (NOTE: if you don’t see a settings button, you may not have the correct privileges to access the area. Please speak to a system admin or submit a help ticket!)

Step 3: See the images below that will help guide you to edit the records types.

Step 4: Downgrade any record types as required.
